Rudolf was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, to parents of ethnic German descent, from Zelenyi Yar, Ukraine. Philip was the son of Johann Philipp Kitsch and Katherina/Katharina Maria Elisabetha Schneider. Taylor’s great-grandmother Elizabeth was the daughter of August Phillips and Caroline Keib.
