Patrick Roy is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was a goaltender, as well as the head coach and vice-president of hockey operations for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the general manager and head coach of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
Patrick is married to Michèle Piuze, with whom he has three children, including pop singer and songwriter Jonathan Roy and ice hockey player Frederick Roy.
Patrick’s paternal grandfather was Bonaventure Arsenault (the son of Joseph Arsenault and Marcelline Gauthier).
Patrick’s paternal grandmother was Lisette Fortier (the daughter of Arthur Fortier and Aline Moffat).
