Harmony Artists Jerry Ross Wins Liz Silverstein Agent-Manager of the Year Award At APAP
NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Harmony Artist president Jerry Ross was presented with NAPAMA’s 2019 Liz Silverstein Agent-Manager of the Year Award at this year’s APAP conference in New York.
The award, presented by the North American Performing Arts Managers And Agents association, “honors agents and managers who cultivate and promote diversity by practicing inclusion and creating equity for the underserved members of our community.”
“Thank you to NAPAMA, APAP and our clients and colleagues. It is a great honor to be recognized with what I consider one of the most prominent awards in our business,” says Ross. “I am dedicated to being available to mentor artists, presenters, and agents, and work alongside them through their successes and challenges.”
Ross was presented with the award at the APAP conference luncheon at the Hilton Grand Ballroom in New York City in January after being nominated by his peers at APAP.
Ross has been involved in the entertainment industry since the 1970s when he began operating a Los Angeles recording studio and managing bands. Ross and his partner Mike Dixon launched Harmony Artists in 1975 and were joined by Adrienne Crane-Ross in the 1990s and today, the company specializes in national and regional headlining tours, as well as talent buying and touring Broadway productions.
Other winners at this year’s APAP Awards included Kaisha Johnson, Co-Founder and Founding Director, Women of Color in the Arts, who was presented with the Sidney R. Yates Award For Outstanding Advocacy On Behalf Of The Performing Arts, and The Joyce Theater, which won the William Dawson Award For Programmatic Excellence.
