2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards Winners: The Complete List
LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards brought together some of the biggest names in music Thursday evening (March 14) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Hosted by T-Pain, the sixth annual event featured appearances by Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Backstreet Boys, Chris Martin, Chris Pratt, Ella Mai, Garth Brooks, Halsey, Heidi Klum, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Lauv, lovelytheband, Marshmello, Taylor Swift, Travis Barker, Yungblud, and more.
Performers for the evening included Halsey, who opened the show with a stirring performance of “Without Me,” and was later joined onstage by YungBlud and Travis Barker for the song, “11 Minutes”; Kacey Musgraves, who performed her hit, “Rainbow,” with surprise guest Chris Martin accompanying her on piano; Alicia Keys, who accepted the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, and was joined on stage by her son, Egypt, for the song “Raise A Man,” and one of her biggest hits, “You Don’t Know My Name”; Ariana Grande who gave an intimate performance of her new hit single, “Needy”; Best New Artist nominees Marshmello (Best New Pop Artist), lovelytheband (Best New Rock/Alternative Rock Artist) and Ella Mai (Best New R&B Artist) came together with special guest Lauv to perform a medley of their hits including “Happier,” “broken” and “Trip”; John Legend performed his new song, “Preach”; Backstreet Boys started their performance of “No Place” from the audience before seamlessly transitioning into their iconic hit, “I Want It That Way”; and Garth Brooks, who accepted iHerartRadio’s first-ever Artist of the Decade Award, performed a live medley of his number one hits, with actor Chris Pratt joining in on stage to sing along.
Additional highlights from the evening included iHeartRadio giving out their first-ever Game Changer Tech Award, which went to Amazon’s Alexa. The award is meant to honor the most innovative use of technology that brings fans closer to the music they love.
